Charismatic Prayer Group

By Alan, Feb. 10, 2010

It happened in the late 60's through the 80's. The Catholic Charismatic “renewal.” Here in the millennium, the Charismatic Catholics in the Diocese of Tyler, TX were kind of underground, or even hibernating. As we started a new Charismatic group for English speaking, we found many of those in our group had turned to the protestants for their spiritual growth for many years.

Many of us are new to the Catholic Church, have come back to the Catholic Church. We all decided the Catholic church is the fullest expression of God's will on earth.

The flame in the red Eucharist candle is igniting the hearts of those God brings to us. There is joy in the camp. We sense a revival beginning, although small. There is a hunger for more of God. Our prayer group is solid and the Holy Spirit is strong. We are praying for God to have His way in this Diocese. You can join us the second Monday of each month in Tyler at St. Paul's Chapel.

We spent time sharing what God is doing in the diocese and in our lives. Then we gather around the tabernacle and lift our hearts to heaven.
