Pray for Haiti

Prayer points:

WE will take a team in on Spring Break. March 6-14, with Mercy Works. Pray
about going with us. If you can't go, but want to support us in anyway, we
need it! We will also be taking in supplies.
Please be prepared for what you are about to see, because this is pretty startling footage of the current conditions on the ground. Apparently the state department is blocking all attempts to bring these kids
to the US for adoption even now at the time of crisis.  I want to pass this along to those who may be able to raise awareness if any of you know congressmen.
The man is clearly frustrated and overwhelmed by the condition and lack of care these orphans are unable to receive.

Sharon Ambler (YWAM) writes, “Thank you so very much for your prayer support
as I have been here in Haiti helping with the recovery efforts after the
earthquake. I am doing well physically. We have been providing medical aid
to those affected by the earthquake. Much of what we are seeing are deep
infected gash wounds on heads, legs, arms and feet. The patients range from
the very young to the very old. We have had several who have had toes and
fingers amputated and a girl with 3rd degree burns over her entire back.
There are also many sick and dehydrated babies. Please continue to pray for
our emotional health and ability to deal with the stress of seeing such
overwhelming needs and the pain of the people here. I have been doing
medical work, translation and also crisis and grief ministry. A part of the
first team has left and we will soon be joined by a new second team. We are
working directly across from the Presidential Palace in the national police
headquarters. The building has sustained damage too so each time there is an
aftershock we have to leave for a few minutes. We have been watching the
cracks in the walls of the place we are living in get bigger and bigger with
each tremor and we are getting better at running out quickly. Please pray
for the teams to bond and flow quickly and for us to continue to be able to
do what we can for those we came here to minister to. I am currently
scheduled to fly home on Jan 31st but the airport here will not be working.
Please keep my family in your prayers also while I am here. Blessings, love
& appreciation for your prayers. – Sharon
