Lori has worked in youth and young adult ministry all her life and was raised a Holiness Pastor's daughter in a culture of servant leadership. She has been a full time missionary as a Protestant and a Catholic convert. Lori and her husband, Alan are the National Directors of Youth With A Mission's Catholic arm, Kerygma based in the Diocese of Tyler. Lori is the mother of 7 and an avid teacher of ecumenism, discipleship and missions. Lori is a popular speaker with many years of experience on the homeschooling conference circuit in the United States. and was a regular contributing columnist for the national magazine, Practical Homeschooling. 

 

In 2003, because of her long standing commitment to Biblical Worldview, Lori was convicted to look deeper at her faith, discovering during that process that she was truly Catholic at heart!  This started the Harris family of nine on their journey to a more profound walk with the Lord through the Church. The Harrises left their beloved California and came back to their  East Texas roots amd missionary work with YWAM.  Kerygma is the Catholic branch of YWAM, striving to proclaim the good news of the gospel to every person through evangelization, discipleship and missions. 
 

In addition, Lori and Alan Harris are the directors for the Renewal of the Diocese of Tyler.  The Renewal is an ecumenical outreach implemented by the former Bishop, Rev. Alvaro Corrada del Rio, to develop a commonality of faith between the Catholic and Protestant communities in the Tyler area.They have ran the Charismatic Healing Mass for the diocese since 2008.
