Dear
Friends,
After living in a Catholic mind set for
over three years, we now serve the Catholic
Church full-time. I’m not a priest.
Lori is not a nun. We are not hired or paid
staff members of a parish or
diocese. We have followed a lesser common
path of “Catholic Lay Missionaries.” (download to read more) 1.32mb
One Day Youth Retreat in Henderson
St.
Jude’s Parish, under the direction of Rev.
Jayaselanraj
Lucas invited Kerygma Teams out May 15,
2010 to conduct a youth retreat and we all
had a
great time. WE focused the night on being
lead and learning to hear the Holy
Spirit. Our group
participated in
the Mass, where the message and readings
contributed to the overall theme of
waiting for the Power from On High.
Lots
of games, group activities, praise and
worship as well as a
relevant message and personal prayer time
and ministry left all with a desire
to know God deeper.
February
2010 Healing Mass
Our
monthly healing mass in Flint, TX moved to
the third Thursday now. Fr. Peter
Faulk, a young priest from Alexandria,
Louisiana, gave an energetic homily and
injected a younger flair to the evening.
The weather was favorable and we had a
lot of first timers as well as regular
folks back to spend time in the presence
of the Holy Spirit.
Fr.
Ariel Cortes also ministered and preached
in Spanish. Our Spanish friends were
able to make the adjustment to Thursday in
time for this meeting and were
greatly ministered to.
Peyton
Neill and Angela Krusi ministered in music
and we had congregational worship
for the first time, before mass.
In
March we will have two charismatic masses,
Third Thurday in Flint, and Fourth
Wednesday in Marshall, TX.
Charismatic
Prayer Group
By
Alan, Feb. 10, 2010
It
happened in the late 60's through the 80's.
The Catholic Charismatic
“renewal.” Here in the millennium, the
Charismatic Catholics in the
Diocese of Tyler, TX were kind of
underground, or even hibernating. As
we started a new Charismatic group for
English speaking, we found many
of those in our group had turned to the
protestants for their spiritual
growth for many years.
Many
of us are new to the Catholic
Church, have come back to the Catholic
Church. We all decided the
Catholic church is the fullest expression
of God's will on earth.
The
flame in the red Eucharist candle is
igniting the hearts of those God
brings to us. There is joy in the camp. We
sense a revival beginning,
although small. There is a hunger for more
of God. Our prayer group is
solid and the Holy Spirit is strong. We are
praying for God to have His
way in this Diocese. You can join us the
second Monday of each month in
Tyler at St. Paul's Chapel.
We
spent time sharing what God is
doing in the diocese and in our lives. Then
we gather around the
tabernacle and lift our hearts to heaven.
